September Wrap up:

1. Furthermore by Tahereh Mafi

I gave this book five stars of Goodreads. This book is so whimsical and beautiful. I love the main characters Alice and Oliver and their frienship is amazing I love how they can rely on each other and depend on each other. The world of Furthermore is a beautiful and interesting and full of weird rules and even weirder residents. It was a wild ride and a highly recommended read, an instant classic.

2. The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson

I gave this book a four out of five stars on Goodreads. The twist at the end of this book is so unexpected and I can't wait to continue the series.

3. The Thousandth Floor by Katherine McGee

I gave this book a five out of five stars. It's a futuristic sci-fi Gossip Girl and I absolutely loved it. I am always happy to support a fellow Houstonian author! I loved the multiple POV's and the world building.

4. Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas

Five out of five stars. Even though I don't like the fact that this book is significantly smaller than Queen of shadows even though it's ;onger, it was still so freaking good. Aelin and Rowan finally have their big moment and all of the side characters are amazing. Elide and Lorcan, Aedion and Lysandra, and Dorian and Manon; their stories and lives are so interesting and amazing and I want spin-off series on all of them and their lives.

5. The Call by Peadar O'Guilin

3.5 out of five stars on Goodreads. I did not like the writing style of this book and I was a bit confused at times, but I love the characters and the mythology.

6. And I Darken by Kiersten White

Four out of five stars on Goodreads. I loved that this was a gender-bended re-telling of Vlad the Impaler, it was such a refreshing twist on history. I loved Lada and Radu is so precious and their relationship no matter how strained at times is strong. I loved seeing the different problems Lada goes through because she is a woman, it is a must read.

7. Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

Five out of five stars. A Fantasy novel about a heist? YES PLEASE! I absolutely love all of the characters in this book, Leigh Bardugo did so good in developing them. Kaz is my favorite person on this earth, he isn't perfect (far from it), he has his issues, but he isn't all bad. He has a good heart when it comes too Inej. Jesper is like a lethal little bunny, I just want to protect him and the others from danger. Nina and Matthias's relationship is my favorite kind of 'get together', they hated each other and now they're in love.

8. Stealing Snow by Danielle Paige

Four out of five stars, this book is such a great re-telling of the Snow Queen. I know this book is compared too Frozen, but I think it's so much better. Although Snow does make me mad at times and her love life is out of control, I still love this novel and can't wait for the next one!

9. Wicked by Jennifer L. Armentrout

4.5 out of five stars. I love Jennifer l. Armentrout's books and Wicked is no exception, the mythology the characters and the relationships are just so good. Of course there is always that Jennifer l. Armentrout twist that makes you want to read more! Torn will be on my October TBR!

10. Passenger by Alexandra Bracken

3.7 out of five stars on Goodreads. I was expecting a little bit more from this novel, but it was entertaining nonetheless. I loved Nick's story I thought it was interesting, but the insta-love was a little weird. I've never been a big fan of insta-love, but I am excited to see how the story continues in Wayfarer.

11. The Way I Used to Be by Amber Smith

Five out of five stars. This book deals within an issue that is not really discussed in Young Adult literature and that is rape. It broke my heart and I swear it felt like I was going through what Eden was. I was in that self-harming spiral right along with her and I cannot tell you how well this book discusses rape. I have not been raped, but one of my best friend's was (she actually recommended this book too me) and I can say that I understand her a little bit better after reading this book. I can never say that I truly understand what she and other girls around the world go through, but now I understand why she and Eden did what they did. I recommend this book to everyone male or female it is a phenomenal read.
